BLOG FIVE

I have never used Diigo before and it surpassed my expectations. It is a useful tool that can be used in collaborations to exchange information on a topic. It is simple to use and the built-in highlighting and note tools allow for annotations that can be shared. However, it is only useful if all group members are active participants and add articles and insight to the group.
I have never had to make a blog for a class before. I like the style of a blog and the personality it can allow for from the students. If actually engaged with, it can allow the students to see each others insights and discuss. However, that is only if the students take the time to go to the blogs of others, which may not happen.
I want to be an elementary teacher and I think LiveBinders is a tool I'd love to incorporate in my classroom. LiveBinders allow people, especially educators, to organize electronic files in the way you would real papers- in electronic three-ringed binders. This could be extremely helpful in eliminating the stress of finding online documents that I need to print, along with allowing me to plan ahead and sort worksheets into nice online binders.

  1. Yes, Diigo is probably most useful when you are in a group and there are a few active users. However, if you are simply using it by yourself, you can treat it as a bookmarking tool. Helps to curate useful resources.
