A flipped classroom is a style of teaching that I have yet to experience. This style of learning is very different from usual. Instructional content is often delivered outside of the classroom, typically online. With students expected to read and begin learning at home, activities that are typically considered homework now have time in the classroom. I believe this style of instructional strategy is very useful in helping students develop a deeper understanding of a subject than they would in a traditional classroom setup.
Open educational resources are freely accessible, openly licensed text and media. They are useful in aiding teachers in teaching, learning and assessing with resources that are available to all. Teachers are able to collaborate and find useful resources they may have not been able to come up with themselves. A great online resource with easy access to lesson plans, text and media is https://www.oercommons.org/. You are able to search up exactly what you are looking for including criteria like grade, subject and standard.
Working on the PowerPoint assignments showed me that PowerPoint is useful for many different things other than what we typically think of. When put together well, they can be used a captivating means to teach a lesson. I have been a bit behind with assignments, but I am looking forward to making an interactive PowerPoint, something I have never seen or used before.
